Information regarding changes in the use of travel discounts

Dear Student!

 

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that as of March 1, 2024, there have been changes to Government Decree 38/2024 (II.29.) regarding public transportation travel discounts.

 

With the amendment of the government decree, the travel discount for students has changed as follows.

 

Travel discounts for full-time students:

 

  • A 90% discount is applicable when purchasing passes for intercity transportation.
  • The discount for tickets for intercity transportation has been discontinued.
  • In the case of local transportation, pass discounts can be availed based on the information provided by the local public transportation company.

 

Travel discounts for part time students:

  • The previously available travel discount based on active student status has been discontinued. If the student has not yet reached the age of 25, they are eligible for a 50% discounted ticket for local transportation based on their age.

 

If your student status changed from full-time to part-time during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, and you have a student ID card validated with a sticker from the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, you can avail the associated travel discount until March 31, 2024.

 

For part-time students, we recommend applying for a student ID card only if its use extends beyond claiming travel discounts.

Change in the opening hours of the Ifjúság street cashier desk

Dear Student,

 

we would like to inform you that the opening hours of the Ifjúság street cash desk will change from 05.02.2024.

From the mentioned date, the cash desk will be open from Tuesday to Friday. Monday opening hours will be cancelled.

 

Please note the above when arranging your payments.

Student card application in 2023

Dear Student,

 

I would like to inform you that the last date when we forward the student card applications to the Educational Authority this year is the 20th December 2023.

 

The process of the student card application will be continued 2nd January 2024.

 

Please note the above mentioned information when you apply for a temporary/permanent student card in the near future.

Change in payment registration at the end of the year 2023

Dear Student,

 

Hereby I would like to inform you that the order and the processing time of the payments will change in the second half of December at the Univeristy of Pécs.

 

Please, take into consideration the under mentioned information when you arrange your payments:

 

  • You can pay in currency at the cash-desk of Szántó Kovács János Street until 20th  December 2023 (Wednesday);
  • The cash-desks will be open until 20th December 2023 (Wednesday); it’s the last day for forint payments in 2023
  • The cash-desks will be open from 8thJanuary 2024 (Monday) according to the regular opening hours.
  • From 20th of December 2023 (Wednesday) registrating bank transfers into Neptun system will take longer time.
  • In case of fulfilling the transcribed items in Neptun, please prefer credit card payment method (Simple pay).

 

 

I would like to inform you that from the 2nd of January 2024 the registration of the payments in the Neptun system will be the same as before.

Holiday Schedule of CRO customer service

Dear Student!

 

Hereby I would like to inform you that the opening hours of the customer service of the Central Registrar’s Office during the festive period will be as follows: 

 

              

Monday, 19th December 2023.                9 am – 2 pm 

Tuesday, 21th December 2023.               9 am – 12 am 

Wednesday, 22st December 2023.          9 am – 12 am 

 

23rd December 2023-1st January 2024.               CLOSED

 

Personal administration at the customer service is only possible after making an appointment on time.pte.hu.

 

I also would like to inform you that the TAJ card application and the student card request will be suspended due to the nationwide civil service intermission between 23rd December 2023 and 1st January 2024.

I would like to draw your attention that the customer service will not be available until 1st January. From 2nd January 2024 we are waiting for the students according to the usual opening hours, after making an appointment on time.pte.hu.
